This is spot where I’ll dig into Master of None: Season 2 a little bit more, getting spoilery with some of the plot points and discussing the ending. So if you haven’t started, or finished, Season 2, head over here to my non-spoilery Master of None: Season 2 review.
Without straying too far into dreaded and entitled “friend zone” territory, the love story between Dev and Francesca, that beautifully culminates in the hour-long penultimate episode “Amarsi Un Po,” and the finale “Buona Notte,” is a breathtaking piece of patience and detail.
Dev feeling used and exhausted, but also invigorated and addicted, is spot-on work as he’s unable to fully grasp how hard it is for Francesca to completely change absolutely everything in her life to be with him. The two have to decide if what they feel for one another is worth a total course correction in life or if it’s somehow more romantic to let it just remain in the background, becoming the sorrowful one great regret of their lives.
